reading and writing/blogging/bf3
the title for this post mainly came from bf3 where you get a comeback bonus by getting a kill after dying multiple times in a row. my game is making a comeback in that game, ive been tearing it up the last couple days after the frustration that was squad deathmatch.....wht a stupid game type.
reading is alos making a huge come back in my life. i was thinking todat that idk what spurred me to start reading for pleasure again, but i guess adam recommending the looming tower brought me back on. i loved that book and will always be a favorite of mine. despite how teeth grinding the ending is. also the 2 books ive read for my afpak class have been interesting as well. really enjoyed the idea of pakistan despite it was an academic book. that in mind i cant give it the highest marks but defiently one of the best academic books ive read in awhile. though i only read through the first 7 chapters, but thats still 240 pages so im just not quite finished with it. the afghanistan book so far isnt quite as interesting but i still find both countries fascinating so im still looking forward to it. im honestly learning a shit ton more from these 2 books than the entire class. but dean steinburg broke that up by actually having an interesting talk with our class. i embaressed myself with the military aid statistic but he had some great insight, and practical explaintions for the shit storm we are in today. i like him alot. he knows his shit. if only wadley did......
i also hope to make a blogging comeback. i still kick myself to this day for not blogging in dc, but i guess i will just have to look back on the memories and relive them over and over again in my mind. what great times. that my friends, is wht college should be. partying hard on the weekends, hitting the gym, working all day with your buds, nice pad, video games and hockey.....it was the life man. the city is also an experience in itself from the sights to the important people everywhere. yes, i still gush about dc :)
well im going to get back to reading about afghanistan according to barfield, and complete a journal entry for bonham.....great guy knows his shit, just needs to get the rest of the class on his energy level.
