shaven or stirred

earlier tonight i had a topic for this post but i forgot. all i remembered was the title....its kinda clever but not really. o well. tux fitting tmw. domo77. i need to email mei still....fuck....and where is my arabic teacher for the summer? ugh. im tired, but dont feel like going to bed. so now im bored and dont know what to do. i cant do xboz cause its loud. blah....tattoo places? any ideas? or a design? lets find out

video games

this has been one that i have been thinking about for awhile, my favorite games, xbox360 that is

Assassins Creed2, COD4, Halo Reach, Mass Effect 2, NHL11, Crackdown, Halo 3, Orange Box those are probably my top tier favorite games ranks? well....
1. COD: MW
2. Mass Effect 2
3. Assassins Creed series
4. NHL11
5. Orange Box
6. Halo Reach
7. Crackdown
8. Halo 3

I am probably forgetting a few...o well.
I recently rented crysis2 and medal of honor.  I was stoked for both of these games before they released but apparently MoH didnt live up to the hype.  I also almost bought crysis2 right away.  Crysis2 was good, and look really good because of how fully rendered every part of the game is and the textures are great. but the game was nothing special. the story actually detracted from the game, and the gameplay was nothing really special. nanosuit powers add an intersting elements to campaign and multiplayer, but didnt make up for everything. also the AI was awful! I would give it like a 7.5 out of 10. good, but nothing to shout about and the campaign was at least a good longer length.
Now i havnt finished playing through the campaign of medal of honor and i havent played any multiplayer yet.  but i must say that i am a little more entertained so far than i was with crysis2. crysis was better reviewed but moh isnt bad either. ill let you know my final score later.  the AI also sucks in this game...why is COD and halo's AI so far supieror than any other game? in comparison it is really noticeable and kinda sad. o well i guess?

now i am going to research stores where you can buy apba cards...

israelis and basketball and golf

i golfed today for the first time in illinois in a long time...i did not shoot well.  yet i shot under 50 somehow. i think i miss counted a lot, or i just dont suck quite as much. either way, it was nice to just get out.

but a man on the course asked me today if israel should go bac to 1967 like obama asked.  first, did obama really request this? i guess im kinda out of the looop now or whatever.  but i find this an odd request because did obama really expect israel to listen? i actually think he was more sending a message, that israel doesnt have all of the leverage in the relationship.  wht was meant by 1967 was to return to the borders of that time. before the wars and israel gained all of the land. i dont think israel should, but maybe start taking palestine seriouisly and make them a legit nation.  that will seriously help a lot. al-quods? idk, flip a coin to see who gets it lol.

bulls lost again, o well. i guess im pessimistic. i think the bulls are missing that little something. that next option and not a offense based around rose.  they will b better and i think they will reach the finals soon.

paying ncaa athletes

where has our perspective gone? why are we being to ideological? when tyrelle pryor sold his jersey, do you really think he used that cash to buy books and pens?  did he really just need some lunch money? if he really needed lunch money, he should sold the free ipad he was given for playing in a bowl game or any of the other free stuff he was given.

the ncaa is approaching this the wrong way and they need to stop.  are athletes really going to stop cutting deals because their schools now pay for their supplies? NO! if they can make some extra cash, they will continue to make some extra cash. "o, they are too busy to get a part time job like other students"  are you kidding me? i guarantee the total monetary value of the freee shit they get and the national TV coverage is FAR more than the money i will make at ets or whereever.  they already get paid and commpensated handsomely.  their books are paid for, mine aren't; so thats already a leg up they have on me.

i have seen far poorer students make it through college using aid and scholarships despite being below the poverty line.  if an athlete comes from a family below the poverty line or se to it, fine, g ve them extra cash but that should also go for ALL college students and not just the athletes.  this is getting rediculous and we need to stop it now before it gets any worse. does any one know any ways to get in contact with the big10 or the ncaa? i have a few questions.  what about the rest of us college students struggling to make it through school.  athletes arent some special exception that deserve the most freebies and passes

fuck the ncaa

I am absolutely appalled to see that the Big 10 is seriously considering paying its student-athletes!  What about the rest of us regular students? Why aren't my living expenses being paid for?  What makes them so special?  I believe it is completely unfair.  They are STUDENT-athletes; I saved up for years to go to college, and I have seen people from the poorest of situations use smart saving and financial aid to make it through college.  There are kids out there that are in more desperate need for money for college than these egotistical athletes.  Why do they have the right while the rest of us have to pay for college ourselves?  I know they bring in revenue for the universities, but if they want to go to college, then they should plan for college.  They already get handsomely compensated for their playing; like the free Nike clothing and iPads the SU football players got.

international hockey

i am currently watching the world championships on versus.  im actually quite happy that versus is making such an effort to televise more hockey and really try to build an audience.  its canada versus sweden, tied at 2 if you were wondering.  i must say i am shocked that jon bernier is in net for canada.  i kno bernier is the shit, and some thought he would replace quick. but quick was better for LA and was the incumbant.  i gotta say i love both of them and im happy to c bernier get sucha great opportunity to play in the worlds.  but im just shocked his the the number 1 for canada. what about broduer? or price? or whoever else is available.  o well. go bernier! and usa! quick needs to be in net for the usa if bernier is in for canada, just saying.  also, im chocked sweden and these other european countries are hanging in so well in the tournament. canada is loaded, but cant pull away from sweden? sweden has been loaded in the past though so i guess i shouldnt b surprised (shout out to kruger!). also i thought nash's big hit was clean, but he did kind of lunge into it alittle.  also the larger ice suraface is interesting to watch and really opens up the game.  lots more room 2 skate and doesnt seem as crowded and chaotic as the nhl. idk which i like better, but its an interesting change of pace.  also the blatant ads on the jerseys and helments of everyone(including the refs) on the ice is kinda strange. i thought the usa was bad with product placement. i also enjoy the car in the middle of the crowd lol. crazy europeans....

speaking of things of international attention, im done with classes! woo! now just chillin in cuse till monday. any ideas on wht the hell to do??!! im already bored and today was my first day off. review tmw but thats about it.  then xbox game shoppin and food shoppin, exciting shit. (btw, how often blogspot saves is kinda annoying, idk y but im just really noticing it).

middle eastern predictions

you may not know this but i study international relations, middle eastern studies, and arabic language; so i know something at least.

in around 30 years the region will fall into chaos if new technologies in removing salt from sea water aren't more fully developed.  more powerful countries will invade weaker states to obtain water access points.  the arab-israeli conflict will get put on hold for awhile.  i mean the region is going to run out of water, how canwar not break out? enless some crazt importing or treaties are signed ahead of time to avoid it, but isk about that.

oil is also fall to the way side in that general same time as the west finally realizes that the oil is running out so we invest more in alternative energies.  i think the US will find a way to make things work.  i guess im confident that we wont fall into chaos.  the ME will also have problems as the oil dries up and they can no longer afford their gucci cars.  well the already horrendous pverty level will be epic by then.  i don't have have a ton of confidence.  oil is what brought that region out of the middle ages.   now it can send it back. along a waterless river bed.  i think arabs will start massive emmigrations to europe, the states and the developing areas of asia. it will be a huge controversy over arab immigration. islam will still be criminalized so some crazy fuckers like the westboro church will try to genocide the arabs, and conservatives will stand by.  but extremism will fall as they will NEED our help so survival.  so if they stop bombing us, maybe we will leet you move to detroit. deal.  this may sound insensitive but im exaggerating a little and a little saracastic. but i think these predictions have some merit. idk. maybe not. maybe ill revoke them tomorrow cuz ill realize how much of an idiot i am. we will c. as always. go bulls and preds. now lets get to the ball busting from mikey m.

corey crawford and hockey cards

corey crawford, what a man. lead the blackhawks all year after being a little bit of a disappointment.  his rookie cards date the 05-06 season so he has been around.  now whats even more surprising is the popularity of his cards.  they have been selling for around 10bucks for the nice rookies like ultimate and black diamond. im shocked but good for you corey! really shows the popularity of the blackhawks these days. its amazing wht a cup can do.  now ppl really seem to believe in him and are collecting him.  i know, its crazy that i follow card collecting and that i still do it, but its kinda fun and addicting at this point sry. i really like jersey cards.  they just fascinate me molre than autos.  autos are just more plain i feel. auto jsy are sweet though! just like how i want a auto jsy spx nick leddy, but again! they are selling for a surprisingly high price considering his unexciting first seasona and the hawks being out of the playoffs, but he was good enough to get my attention so i guess him and corey have hooked in other people.  i think the hawks will reload next year after the chaos that was last season.  i was just happy that they made the playoffs and kicked some canuucks ass for a few games. canucks were my preseason pick to win the cup so i wasnt expecting the hawks to win. sorry.  my preseason picks for conference finals were canuccks versus the kings in the west, and then the flyers against the lightning in the east.  then the canucks and flyers moving on to the finals with the canucks taking the whole thing.....the canucks are really my only hope of fulfilling that prediction....damn injuried kopitar and tanking flyers.....lightning were a pleasant surprise though.  i should be a fuckin sports analyst.  i could make up the same BS that they do.

watching the canucks v. predators game now.  i tihnk the canucks will win the series but im kinda rooting for the pred cuz they are a tough resilient team that deserves more respect.  they got a solid seed and win every season.  kudos to trotzy.

along with the blackhawks, SU basketball will rebound next year for an elite eight run.  great freshman class coming in.  only losing jackson(but thats still huge) and really deep a guard. scoop, triche, joseph are aure starters.  xmas, southerland(who deserves more attention) fab, kieta will cycle in the final forward and center positions.  i like wht jim did this year, though we underachieved alittle with how much raw talent we had.  I almost forgot CJ! i fuckin love that kid, i hope he or southerland starts opposite of joseph at the second forward.  we will be small with that lineup but whteves.  we will be shooting and athletic. i like it.  im predicting an elite eight team AT LEAST. i dont wanna jinx but i hope will live up to it. and compete for a big east title.

at this point in time...ive got canucks and bruins in the finals from the remaining teams in the cup finals.  though i hate to pick against the lightning.

DA BULLS. honestly, havnt paid much attention to them but i should....they are winning...so yay chicago!

moving out soon from cuse to chicity then dc.

thats all for now. maybe ill post again later if i think of more

until then, back to security in the me....maybe

Lets get this started

Well i am going to be talking about a lot of things in the near future. syracuse, syracuse sports and univeristy, chicago, chicago sports, all sports, nhl, card collecting, girlfriends, friends, the middle east, islam, arab stuff, how i hate facebook and foursquare, and others i will add along the way.  will anyone actually read this? idk but lets find out....
